Ingredients
- 120 g butter · softened
- 100 g brown sugar
- 70 g caster sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 180 g plain flour
- 0.5 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 150 g chocolate chips

Cream butter and sugar
Beat butter, brown sugar and caster sugar until creamy.

Add egg and vanilla
Beat in the egg and vanilla until combined.

Add dry ingredients
Fold in flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt until no dry flour remains.

Add chocolate
Fold in the chocolate chips and portion the dough onto a lined tray, leaving space between cookies.

Bake
Bake at 180°C until the edges are golden and the centres still look slightly soft.
