Delete your account and everything in it.

From inside the app

Open Kitchen Profile and choose delete your account. You are asked to retype your own account id first — a single tap should not be the difference between cooking and losing every guide you built. Deletion happens immediately; there is no waiting period and nothing is queued.

If you no longer have the app

Email privacy@recipemirror.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject Delete my account. We reply to confirm it is done. We ask for nothing else — not a reason, not a phone number, and no document proving who you are.

RecipeMirror is a small team and we do not yet publish a response-time commitment, because we will not state one we cannot keep. Requests are handled by a person, not a queue.

What is deleted

• Any recording we hold. The files go first, before anything else. If they cannot be removed, the deletion stops and your account is left untouched — an account can be deleted again, an orphaned recording cannot be found again.
• Your sign-in and profile.
• Every source, guide, correction, cook, shopping list, pantry entry and household membership belonging to you.
• Any live share link you had created. It stops working at once.

What is not deleted, and why

The record that a cook happened, with your name taken off it. RecipeMirror’s cooking history is append-only: the database physically refuses to rewrite a past event, which is what makes the history trustworthy in the first place. On deletion the actor is set to null, so what happened survives and who did it does not. Nothing in those rows identifies you.

Operational records of AI requests — model, timing and cost. They are data about the system rather than about you and carry no recipe content.

Anything that was never ours to begin with. RecipeMirror does not download or re-host anybody’s video; it reads them where they live. A photograph of a recipe page is read and dropped within the request and is never stored at all.

Take a copy first

Deletion cannot be undone and we hold no backup of your account afterwards. Kitchen Profile offers a full export of everything RecipeMirror holds for you, as a file, before you delete.
