Oven Fish and Chips
Crisp oven-baked white fish with chunky chips and lemon, designed for an easier home method.

Ingredients
- 4 white fish fillets
- 800 g potatoes · cut into chips
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 60 g plain flour
- 2 eggs · beaten
- 100 g breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 lemon
- salt · to taste
- black pepper · to taste

- Pat the fish dry before coating.

Start the chips
Toss chips with olive oil, salt and pepper. Bake at 220°C until starting to colour.

Coat the fish
Season the fish. Dip in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs mixed with paprika.

Place coated fish on a lined tray and bake alongside the chips.

Cook until the fish is opaque and flakes easily; use an appropriate food-safety check rather than appearance alone where needed.
