Scale a recipe

Scale it, and know it still fits the pan.

Rescale by portions or by what you actually have, like 750 g of paneer. Amounts round to something a kitchen can measure, and it checks the result against your pans.

A drawn example. Names and numbers are illustrative.

How it works

  1. 1

Paste a recipe, or open one of your dishes.

  2. 2

Choose the servings, or the amount you have.

  3. 3

See the new amounts, and whether your pan can take it.

Why it helps

  • Rounded for real kitchens

You will not be asked to measure 37.5 g of butter when a sensible amount will do.

  • Vague stays vague

Anything the source never stated stays unstated, however much you scale.

  • A warning before the hob

If it will not fit, it suggests cooking in batches or a size that does.
