No invented amounts

If nobody said how much, we will not pretend they did.

Most apps turn “a little oil” into 15 ml. RecipeMirror keeps the words that were said and marks the gap, so you always know which numbers came from the source.

A drawn example. Names and numbers are illustrative.

How it works

  1. 1

The source says “two to three spoons”.

  2. 2

The guide shows exactly that, and names any gap.

  3. 3

You decide at the pan, and what you used is remembered.

Why it helps

  • Never blocked

A missing amount does not stop you. Cook straight away and judge it at the pan, as you would at home.

  • Your correction wins

Fix something and it sits above the reading. If a later reading disagrees, you are asked first.

  • Clear on the shopping list too

A list line says whether it has a real amount or “no amount given”, so nothing looks more certain than it is.
